May 2007 - Present     Inside Sales  -   A&E Custom Manufacturing

·        I joined A&E in order to increase their capacity to provide quotations and follow sales orders.

·        Currently project manage for one major customer account in addition to supervising fabrication section of manufacturing.

Jan 1995 - May 2001- Present     Sole Proprietor       now - Technical Advisor.  RALMTEC (ALM)

·        I started the enterprise in January 1995. Designed, built and marketed line of small, worm & gear driven rotary positioning tables for industrial OEM's.

·        In May 2001 I sold the product line to American Linear Manufacturers, a company that had been a major customer. I continue to provide technical assistance on a royalty basis.

May 1997 – Oct 1997  Production Manager, Precision Pattern,  Inc. Wichita,KS Salary $60,000

·        Manufacturer of high quality furniture for installation in aircraft for the General Aviation industry.

·        400 employees. Cabinet making environment. Use of lightweight, high strength materials and composites. High aesthetic and functional requirements. Significant emphasis on trace-ability and adherence to specification with all associated documentation. Non-union.

·        The former president of Master Machine Tools was now President and Chief Operational Officer for Precision Pattern. He asked me to help solve their manufacturing department's problems that had resulted from rapid growth. I returned to my RALMTEC venture full time as business demanded.

May 1986 – Jan 1995    Manager, RolerTrac Division Master Machine Tools, Inc. - S. Hutchinson , KS Salary - $60,000 + Bonuses                                                                      

·        The division manufactured a line of linear and rotary positioning equipment for industrial OEM's and end users. 100+ employees. Non-union.

·        I was responsible for the complete start up including contract negotiations with a Swiss manufacturer, importation of product, the establishment of all sales and marketing functions plus financial forecasts and budgets. During this period I was the joint inventor of the patented "CircuLinear" positioning system.

·        In 1994 a corporate decision was made to refocus on basic machine tool components. I left to start my own business. Master Machine Tools ceased operations in 2001. Parts of it's product line are now with SETCO, a former "sister" company.

Jul 1984 – May 1986  Production Control ManagerHowmet Turbine Components Corp , Refurbishment Division– Wichita Falls, TX Salary $40,000  

·        This was a start up venture for the parent company. The division refurbished used turbine engine components for the Airline and General Aviation Industries.

·        HTTC was a global company with several thousand employees predominantly manufacturing turbine components for major jet engine manufacturers. This new venture concentrated on the high tech refurbishment of used components such as turbine blades.

·        Welding, Machine Shop, Heat Treatment environment. Very heavy emphasis on quality control, trace-ability, and adherence to written procedures and specifications. Non-union.

Jan 1978 – Jul 1984  Production Manager, Master Machine Tools, Inc. – S. Hutchinson, KS   Salary $34,000  

·        Machine Shop & Medium/Heavy Assembly environment. Non-union.

·        Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing. This included personnel, manufacturing, purchasing, industrial engineering, inventory, shipping, receiving, budgeting & cost accounting functions.

1974 – 1978     Chief Methods Development Engineer, National Supply Company, LTD – Stockport , England

·        Manufacturer of capital oil field equipment.

·        1,000 employees. Machine Shop & Medium/Heavy Assembly environment. Highly unionized.

·        Supervised up to 25 professional engineers and technicians in the execution of productivity improvement projects. Responsible for the identification, selection and purchase of capital equipment and for methods improvement. 600+ employees. Union .

1972 – 1974      Methods Development Engineer, Farrel Bridge Ltd. - Rochdale , England

·        Manufacturer of rubber/plastic processing machinery.

·        500 employees.  Machine Shop & Medium/Heavy Assembly environment. Highly unionized.

·        Carried out manufacturing productivity improvement projects.

1967 – 1972      Student Apprentice, British Insulated Callenders Cables, Ltd - Prescot, England

·        Manufacturer of electric power transmission cables and associated products. Highly unionized. Many 1,000's of employees worldwide.

·        Joined BICC upon graduating from Grammar School while simultaneously gaining admission to Salford University to major in Mechanical Engineering.
